Mode Conditioning Patchcord

Mode conditioning patchcord optimizes the single mode launch nature of the – LX (1310nm) transceiver modules used for Gigabit Ethernet that must operate over both single mode and multi-mode fiber. It allows laser transmitters to operate at gigabit rates over multi-mode fiber without being unduly limited by Differential Mode Delay (DMD) effect. This ensures an effective bandwidth for the system, closer to that measured by over-filled launch condition.
